My friend Adam has told me that he suffers from terrible anxiety in social situations.

But anxiety can take other forms too. For example you might have anxiety over you job.
You could be worried about your son or daughter, or if you parents are older, you might even worry about them.

Losing a job, a spouse or realizing that you can no longer trust someone creates a lot of stress and anxiety.
